Disney Lorcana
Disney Lorcana is a Trading Card Game (TCG) by Disney and games publisher Ravensburger. Like other games, such as Magic: The Gathering and the Pokemon TCG, you’ll collect cards in booster packs and create decks with the aim of defeating your opponent.
Disney Lorcana features Disney characters in both original and reimagined art styles that live in an all-new world with unique and magical gameplay.
The game is set in the rich and fantastical world of Lorcana. Players will take on the mantle of Illumineer, a powerful sorcerer, and band together Disney characters from Lorcana's "The Great Illuminary", a treasury of all Disney songs and stories ever made.
Who is this game is for
Lorcana is perfect for fans of Disney’s animated films and trading card game beginners. The rules are easy to learn and the different cards bring a lot of variation and replayability. With more cards to come later, the game will probably get a bit more complex.
There is also a companion app for iOS and Android that allows players to track their card collections and build a virtual deck to then copy with their real cards.

If you’re new to trading card games, or if you want to experience the game with a deck designed and tested by Team Lorcana, this is a good place to start. Later on, you can upgrade your deck with booster packs, which contain more cards.

Lorcana can be played from two players upwards.
The central focus of the game lies in the concept known as "lore," akin to "life points," wherein the primary objective is to be the first to accumulate 20 lore points for victory.
At first, each player construct their decks by choosing at least 60 cards each. Then the game begins with both players drawing seven cards. When it’s your turn, you can play character, item, or actions cards. All cards have ink costs, which can be paid with the ink in your inkwell.

You can upgrade your deck with booster packs. Unlike starter decks, booster packs contain twelve random cards from Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter. Use booster packs to build and customize your deck with abilities and characters beyond those found in starter decks.
After the release of The First Chapter, Disney Lorcana will reportedly release four sets a year. We can expect the second set to release in November/December.
Disney releases about four new sets each year. Every set will have new characters and will introduce new gameplay elements.
